Keep a Homeless Person Warm This Winter
TurnerFox is teaming up with the Salvation Army to donate as many sleeping bags as possible to the homeless this Christmas.
We’re calling on your help! We’re asking for local business’ in the Mansfield area to purchase a sleeping bag to help keep a homeless person warm this winter.

What we are doing
Many generous people donate at this time of year to help those less fortunate. However, items such as sleeping bags are harder to come by.
Therefore, this is why we have decided to help The Salvation Army this year by gaining local business’ support to donate a sleeping bag to a homeless person. It’s such a simple way that you can make a huge difference to someone’s life.
We’ll be keeping a live feed of who’s donated on our website and social media, as a thank to those that donate.
To say a special thank you, we’re entering all you wonderful business’ who donate into a prize draw to win an Office Hamper!
Winner to be announced Friday 20th December.
We need to band together to help as many people as possible. So, we have made it as easy as possible for you. Everything you need to know (including which sleeping bag to buy) is all here in this post!
Lets all pull together as a local business community to help people who aren’t as fortunate as we are!
Why donate?
It is predicted that temperatures are set to plummet this year. Colder than they have been in over a decade.
So, we’re asking as many business’ as possible to donate a sleeping bag to help those sleeping on the streets through the harsh winter.
We just ask that they are waterproof/weatherproof.
Where to buy a sleeping bag
Here’s a selection of sleeping bags we have chosen. We recommend one of these great all seasons waterproof sleeping bag from Amazon:
Bessport Mummy Sleeping Bag – £48.99
Keen Flex Mummy Sleeping Bag – £29.99
But there are many great options on Amazon at a range of prices, see them all here.
We are also happy if you choose one from any other company as long as it is waterproof.
If you struggle to find a waterproof sleeping bag, of course we are happy to collect any kind of sleeping bag, anything you can donate really does help.

Wednesday 27th November 2pm – 5pm
Friday 6th December 2pm – 5pm

We would like to thank you in advance for your efforts to keep a homeless person warm this winter.
Do you have an old backpack?
In addition to our sleeping bag donation, we would love to help The Beacon Project Mansfield.
Their most needed item currently is backpacks, as often donations are handed out in carrier bags. Which isn’t great at keeping items dry and safe.
Therefore, if you have any backpacks (that are in fairly good condition) that you are no longer using, contact us and we will pick these up too!
